A hut to hut light backpacking trek in Italy’s magnificent Gran Paradiso National Park with an  optional ascent of Gran Paradiso summit (4061m).

 

Group size: 7 to 14 plus leader

 

Duration: 8 days total - 6 walking days, 2 travel days

 

Grade: Moderate (Gran Paradiso climb - strenuous)

Daily walking average: 14km – 7 hours

Total walking: 85 km

Approximate daily ascent: 1000m

Altitude max: 3083m (Gran Paradiso 4061m)

 

Departures: 4 - between mid July to mid September

 

Accommodation: Hotel and mountain huts in mixed, shared dormitories
